Skymart Covid-19 Update

Hello valued Customers, please kindly read the Skymart Covid-19 Update.

COVID-19???? is having a huge impact on the world and the country and it is up to every one of us to play our part to ensure that the spread and effects of the virus are limited as much as possible.
As this unprecedented situation continues to develop and the national Lockdown in Botswana coming into effect, the safety of employees, customers and partners remains our top concern.

Skymart Covid-19 Update

Guided by the World Health Organisation (WHO), international best practice and directives by the Ministry of Health and Wellness of Botswana, Skymart is implementing precautionary measures to mitigate the risk of virus transmission.
Below are some of the measures that we have put in place, but the fight against COVID-19 remains a collective responsibility. We advise all customers to also follow the personal hygiene guidelines as set out by the WHO and the Ministry.

Essentials First

We will be focusing on providing online shopping and delivery services for essential items including, medical and hygiene products, pharmaceuticals and grocery items. Non essential items originating locally from Botswana and South African merchants will experience delays in delivery.

We have been educating our staff in line with WHO guidelines and have implemented strict internal hygiene policies across our business such as widespread access to hand sanitiser, increased frequency of cleaning of all work spaces. This is part of our core strategy for the Skymart Covid-19 Update.

Enhanced hygiene measures extend to our Skymart Delivery Team drivers who are now required to execute contactless deliveries and collection.
Our drivers have been instructed not to make physical contact with any customers and to maintain a safe distance. Packages will be placed on a surface indicated by the customer, the driver will then back away and allow the customer to pick up their package themselves.
As part of the Skymart Covid-19 Update , all drivers will be given access to hand sanitiser with clear instructions to sanitise their hands before and after every delivery or collection.

Customers are no longer required to sign receipt of a delivery or collection on any devices. Customers should simply quote their name and details to the driver or Pickup Point staff who will either sign or input any required information on their behalf.

???????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????? & ????????????????????????????????????????????????

Over the past few days, Skymart has seen an increase in demand for daily essentials as well as personal hygiene products. Procurement teams are working closely with suppliers and sellers to try and ensure sufficient stock is available to meet the demand as part of the Skymart Covid-19 Update.

All international orders from our Skymart Global Sourcing Store and Nthekelehoo service may experience service disruption and delays. All carriers announced that due to the limited available capacity for international package and airfreight shipments into and out of Europe and US delays may happen. The capacity is reaching a critically limited level. Priority is being given to medical and essential supplies provided sufficient proof is given.
Upon arrival of international orders, the packages will be quarantined at the point of entry for 72 hours to ensure that the disease does not spread. We believe this is integral to our Skymart Covid-19 Update strategy.

???????????????????????????????? ????????????????????????????????????????

Let us just preventively mention that Covid-19 is seen as an event of force major. That means, no guarantees can be given and no insurance will apply for any delays or shipment cancellations. Any Refund requests made due to cancellations or delays during this time will be put on pause and only processed after the official country wide lockdown has ended.
As this remains our collective responsibility we would appreciate you notifying us here of any issues you may see in our efforts to ensure a safe and hygienic environment and we will react to these where practically possible.
Keep safe, stay home and shop online. ✅????????
